IT Manager—LAN Tech III
We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated professional to assist us on the networking side of
our business. We are a 18-year-old, technology services company. We are an extremely energetic bunch, looking to expand our technical workforce.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience in a field service position installing, maintaining and
troubleshooting PCs, networks and servers. |

This position is a combination of field service technician and IT technical manager. You will split your time about
50-50 between field work and leading a team of 6 or so technical staff.
This is NOT a 40-hour per week job. We are looking for someone passionate about IT who wants to be part of something dynamic. We
are looking for a person who regularly goes above and beyond and will fit in with our management staff of highly dedicated
people who easily put in 60+ hours per week. |
This position requires a deep, broad range of technical and management skills from "Day One" including the
following.
- Expertise in:
- Windows Servers—2003, 2008, etc: installation & maintenance
- Virtual server environments like VMware ESX, Microsoft HyperV, ...
- Firewalls and routers like Sonicwall TZ series, Cisco ASA, ...
- Managed switches
- Network monitoring software
- Advanced networking concepts including VPN, routing, etc.
- At least 2 years successfully managing a team of field technicians or help desk staff.

- Travel to customer sites to perform technical tasks
- Friendly interaction with client contacts
- Ability to work efficiently and under deadlines
- You will assist us in selecting and implementing new technologies. These will be key in keeping our company current and on the cutting-edge with new products.

Requirements and Needed Skills Include:
- Installing structured cable: Voice, Data, Coax... You need to know how to install, terminate, testall aspects of cabling.
- Toning/tracing voice lines
- Cross-connecting voice lines
- Performing Dmarc extensions
- Being handy with tools for mounting back-boards, TVs, systems, etc.
- Experience programming, installing or troubleshooting business telephone
systems. Some of the systems we service are: NEC, Avaya, Nortel BCM/MICS,
Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung, Comdial...
- Experience with Video Surveillance Systems, Cameras, DVRs, etc. Skill with mounting cameras.
